NVIDIA has an eye on the notebook market by targeting gamers with a potential external graphics accelerator, although nothing concrete is mentioned just yet. While there is definitely an opportunity to tackle this market, many questions still need to be answered including whether the size of its target market is large enough to make such a venture feasible. After all, hardcore portable gaming on notebooks are pretty rare since battery life often takes a pretty significant hit during the course of a game, but hopefully with advances in battery technology, things will change for the better. The Dell Alienware M11x gaming notebook is a great example of careful balance between processing power and its graphics processing unit, offering long battery life for satisfactory gaming on-the-go.
