Folks in China have another chance to go green with the Sharp SH6230C cellphone, as that particular handset is equipped with a solar cell module behind to keep it going longer than usual. Features of the Sharp SH6230C include a 2.9″ LCD display and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus capability, with very little else disclosed. Well, guess we will just have to wait for an official announcement from Sharp in order to find out what other goodies the SH6230C holds, but hopefully the phone is made up of stuff stern enough to withstand the heat of direct sunlight. This isn’t the first solar-powered handset we’ve seen to date, as the Samsung Blue Earth, ZTE Solar Phone and an offering from LG have been covered in the past.
